Fighting against online piracy of live content

With this initiative on piracy of live content, the Commission aims at offering a toolbox to fight the illegal streaming of live events, in particular sport events. Building on the relevant EU legislative instruments, the Commission will recommend to the Member States and private parties how to apply the existing legal tools available in EU law to tackle more efficiently the illegal transmissions of live content online.
