Driving and rest times for bus and coach drivers

Transport

Drivers and operators in bus and coach sector must respect the EU rules on driving and rest times applying to those working in a freight transport. These rules do not always fit with the transport of passengers. This initiative intends to address specific needs of bus and coach sector regarding the organisation of the working time of drivers. Based on the result of the analytical work and stakeholder consultation, the Commission may decide about the measures to address these needs.
