Revision of the 'New Legislative Framework'

Single market

The Evaluation of the NLF highlighted its success in establishing a consistent and coherent body of EU product legislation and serving as a blueprint for 29 aligned legal acts. However, it also identified areas in need of adjustment. Updating the NLF is essential to integrate digitalisation through the introduction of the Digital Product Passport and to align with product circularity objectives. Certain adaptations are required in areas such as with notified conformity assessment bodies.
